Avalanche Summary
Avalanche conditions are generally safe, but if you are traveling in steep terrain, there are still a few things to watch for. At the top of steep chutes and couloirs, you may find recent deposits of drifted snow. Triggering a small avalanche in this drifted snow could have serious consequences if you are swept off your feet in extreme terrain. Also watch for any recent snow warming under Thursday’s strong sun. The newest snow can easily shed on top of shallowly buried crusts.
