Avalanche Summary

Steep northwest-to-north through east-facing slopes are incredibly dangerous. Fresh slabs are sitting on super weak facets and will be easy to trigger on slopes over 35 degrees. As winds pick up, these slabs will grow in size, increasing the size of the avalanche you can trigger. By avoiding steep slopes on the north half of the compass and sticking to south-facing terrain where crusts below the new snow are less problematic will help reduce your risk.
