Avalanche Summary

Avalanche danger continues to rise as winter weather persists in the Northern San Juans. You can easily trigger an avalanche in the new storm snow. In wind-drifted areas, an avalanche could break deeper and grow much larger. Monday afternoon northerly winds will increase and build thicker, more dangerous slabs onto more slopes. Look for safer options in lower-angled wind-sheltered terrain.
