Avalanche Summary
Avoid traveling on steep slopes with wet, punchy snow. Warning signs are sinking more than about 10 inches into slurpee-like snow or breaking through a thin crust into wet, cohesionless snow. Move to low-angle terrain before you bog down in that wet snow. Head out early and return to the trailhead early so you can travel on firmer, colder snow.
