Highlights
The general avalanche hazard at all elevations is LOW this morning. As expected new snow and strong winds arrive this afternoon the hazard will increase to MODERATE at the upper elevations where pockets of soft slabs building to two feet in depth may be triggered that lie upon slick, hard crusts. At the mid elevations smaller, shallow pockets of slab to a foot in depth may be triggered this afternoon by backcountry users. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today.
