Highlights
The avalanche hazard is LOW this morning at all elevations and will quickly rising to MODERATE in the low and mid elevations and CONSIDERABLE in the upper elevation as warm temperatures and clear skies heat and weaken the snowpack. In upper elevations, isolated pockets of surface slab lie upon crusts that could be human triggered in steep avalanche starting zones on a variety of aspects. Yesterday, a skier triggered a similar event on Chicken Scratch. As warming occurs, sun balling and wet slides could also be seen at all elevations.
