Avalanche Summary

An unusually shallow snowpack means most slopes are currently safe from avalanches. A few inches of new snow will not change the avalanche danger. If you encounter stiff, wind-drifted snow on a steep slope in consequential terrain above treeline, consider avoiding that slope.
