Highlights

Over 60 inches of snow with five inches of water have fallen since Christmas. Large soft slab avalanches up to six feet in depth could be human triggered or release naturally and run full track to the valley floor or canyon bottoms. Mid and smaller soft slabs up to several feet in depth could also be triggered or release spontaneously or a variety of aspects in avalanche prone terrain. With strong winds and new snow in the forecast the hazard will increase as the day progresses. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
