Highlights

Isolated mostly small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming.

Avalanche Activity

Isolated mostly small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming.

The avalanche prone locations are very rare. The small wind slabs can still be released in some cases above approximately 2400 m. They are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard crust. In some regions 2 to 5 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall.

Snowpack Structure

In high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Below approximately 2000 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying.
