Forecast Snow Stability: Little change. The existing shallow snow cover will remain generally well consolidated and stable throughout, with most snow on South-East to South West aspects above 800 metres. Late in the period, fresh snow deposits are likely on sheltered North-East to East aspects, mainly above 800 metres, but are not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A largely dry and cloudy day. Light precipitation is expected from mid afternoon, with sleet and snow on the higher summits. A fresh Southerly wind will veer Westerly by late afternoon. The freezing level, around 750 metres initially, will briefly rise to 1000 metres ahead of the precipitation, lowering to 800 metres by the end of the forecast period.
