The fresh snow of the last two days as well as the scattered mostly small wind slabs are lying on top of a quite favourable old snowpack. They can in some places be released by people, especially in pass areas in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain, in particular on very steep slopes, caution is to be exercised at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. As a consequence of solar radiation mostly small dry and moist snow slides are possible, in particular at the base of rock walls, and in steep rocky terrain.

Over a wide area 10 to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, fell in the last few days above approximately 2000 m. The southeasterly wind has transported the new snow, in particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 3 (considerable). In all aspects snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2200 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. On steep sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m a little snow is lying. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

The avalanche danger will persist.
