No avalanches or signs of instability were reported this week.

Fresh wind slabs may form Monday afternoon, and rain on Tuesday could trigger wet loose avalanches.

Also watch for other hazards like creek crossings, holes, and slippery surfaces.

An additional 5 to 10 cm of snow this weekend will bring recent totals to 15 to 25 cm around Gros Morne and to 30 cm or more south of Corner Brook. Much of this snow has fallen on bare ground, but where a snowpack remains, it should bond quickly to hard crusts.

Despite significant melt over the past month, decent coverage persists in the Lewis Hills and wind-loaded bowls and gullies across the region.

Cloudy with 15 to 30 mm of rain, transitioning to snow in the afternoon/evening. 80 km/h southwest wind. Alpine temperature +8 °C. Freezing level 3000 m dropping to sea level in the evening.

• Pay attention to isolated wind affected features in the alpine, as well as cross-loaded features at treeline.
