Fresh wind slabs represent the main danger.
The fresh wind slabs can in some places be released, even by small loads in isolated cases. This applies in particular on wind-loaded slopes. Very isolated mostly small natural avalanches are not ruled out. In very isolated cases avalanches can also be released in near-ground layers reach medium size in particular on very steep north, east and southeast facing slopes.
Snowpack Structure
As a consequence of the strong northwesterly wind, snow drift accumulations formed during the last few days, especially in high Alpine regions. The old snowpack is fairly homogeneous and its surface has a melt-freeze crust that is strong in many cases. This applies in particular on sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m. Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack at intermediate and high altitudes. In all aspects at intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying.
Tendency
The avalanche danger will persist.
