On Monday the wind will be moderate to strong at times in some localities. The sometimes strong wind will transport the new snow. The wind slabs will form especially in the east and at high altitudes.

The snowpack will become subject to considerable local variations above approximately 1700 m. In addition mostly small wind slabs will form especially above approximately 1700 m as the day progresses.

Snowpack Structure

Some fresh snow as well as the mostly small wind slabs that are being formed by the sometimes strong westerly wind must be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on north to east to southeast facing aspects above approximately 1700 m.
