Avalanche Activity

The small wind slabs represent the main danger.

The fresh wind slabs are mostly small and can only be released in isolated cases. This applies in particular on extremely steep slopes and in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 2 (moderate).

Snowpack Structure

In some localities in some localities up to 5 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 2400 m. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Over a wide area only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.
