As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation more ground avalanches are possible as the day progresses, but they can reach medium size in some cases. In addition there is a danger of moist loose snow avalanches. Gliding avalanches can be released at any time of day or night. On steep slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized dry slab avalanches are possible.
The snowpack is largely stable; its surface consists of loosely bonded snow. Adjacent to ridgelines visible wind slabs formed. In some places wind slabs are lying on an icy crust.
