Slab avalanches and moist and wet avalanches are possible.
As a consequence of warming wet and gliding avalanches are possible from the early morning, in particular medium-sized ones. This applies especially in steep rocky terrain. As a consequence of a strong wind, mostly small wind slabs formed in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as above approximately 2200 m. Caution and restraint are advisable.
Snow depths vary greatly above approximately 2000 m, depending on the infuence of the wind. As a consequence of rising temperatures and low stratus a crust formed on the surface. This applies in particular on steep slopes below approximately 2500 m. Individual weak layers exist in the snowpack especially on steep west, north and east facing slopes. The wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack.
