Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy snow will be firm, well bonded and stable throughout. Largest areas of snow will be encountered on the high plateau areas of the main Cairngorms and on North to East aspects above 900 metres elsewhere. Localised softer accumulations will occasionally be found above 900 metres on South-East to South-West aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Another dry but cloudy day is expected. Moderate North-Easterly winds. Temperature inversion conditions but Munros are likely to remain below freezing at summit level. Observed Weather Influences: An overcast day with some intermittent drizzle, heavy at times. Generally moderate North-Easterly winds but with some local variations. Freezing level around 900 metres. Variable cloud base, sometimes as low as 800 metres but with very occasional breaks to sunshine. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy snow remains well bonded and stable. Largest areas are present mainly, but not exclusively, on North to East aspects above 900 metres where very firm snow exists. Localised softer accumulations are encountered above the same altitude on South-East to South-West aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
