Little Yoho.
Dangerous avalanche conditions exist in alpine and tree-line locations. Conservative route choices are required.
An arctic ridge of high pressure develops over Alberta on Thursday. Cool temperatures, only light flurries and diminishing winds are expected. Cold temperatures will persist through the weekend.
20-40 cm of snow, and strong wind from last few days have formed fresh wind and storm slabs. In most areas the mid and lower pack is well settled. Some areas have reports of buried surface hoar down 40-50 cm. It will be important to dig a pit to see if there is surface hoar in the region that you are skiing.
No avalanches observed or reported in Little Yoho today.
