More moist snow slides and avalanches are possible.
The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will soften during the day. In particular on very steep slopes and in steep rocky terrain more small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as the penetration by moisture increases.
The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust and will already soften in the late morning. Below approximately 2500 m: The snowpack is moist and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. Below approximately 2400 m only a little snow is lying on south facing slopes. Above approximately 1600 m there is still a very large amount of snow on north facing slopes.
