Forecast Snow Stability: Good general stability. Isolated areas of windslab will develop on West to North aspects above 900 meters. The main areas affected will be coire rims and gully tops sheltered from the wind. Older snow accumulations on South to East aspects above 900 meters will improve in stability as the snow is redistributed. Elsewhere the snow will be well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Moderate to strong South-East winds overnight will increase to gale force during the day and veer East-South-East by the afternoon. Light snow in the afternoon. Freezing level rising above the summits by the end of the forecast period. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with light South-West winds. The freezing level was around 800 meters. Mostly overcast with the cloud level lifting above the summits to bring intermittent sunny spells. ObservedSnowStability: Generally good snow stability. The more recent accumulations of windslab continue to consolidate and remain on East to South aspects above 900 meters mostly around Coire rims and gully tops. The avalanche hazard is Low.
