Avalanche Activity

Moist avalanches are possible in the second half of the day.

Low, level 1. In particular extremely steep shady slopes and high altitudes: As the day progresses as a consequence of warming during the day there will be an increase in the danger of moist avalanches within the current danger level. Shady slopes where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are especially precarious.

Snowpack Structure

On steep sunny slopes hardly any snow is lying. In all regions less snow than usual is lying. The weather was mild. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to moistening of the snowpack.

Tendency

Over a wide area in some regions up to 10 cm of snow, and up to 15 cm in some localities, will fall on Wednesday above approximately 1500 m. In the regions where more snow falls danger level 2 (moderate) may be reached in the afternoon.
