Togwotee Pass
Avalanche danger
Highlights
New snow is falling on an early season snowpack that is mostly stable. A chance exists to trigger small, isolated pockets of slab in very steep cliff areas or extreme terrain. Be aware of the hazards associated with a shallow snowpack.
Avalanche Discussion
( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )A weak system passing through the area tonight could bring brief periods of snow showers although accumulations are expected to be minimal. By morning, a ridge of high pressure will provide mostly clear and dry conditions through Tuesday night. Temperatures are to be colder with mountains reaching the teens while valleys reach the upper twenties. The general avalanche danger on Tuesday will be Low. Mostly stable snow exists and avalanches are unlikely at this time. The exception to this would be for a slight chance to trigger small isolated pockets that could lurk in extreme terrain like cliff areas.
