Persistent slabs to three feet in depth rest on weak, faceted snow and good sliding surfaces at the mid and upper elevations and possibly a foot deep in isolated, very steep areas at the lower elevations. These dangerous slabs could be triggered by people in steep, avalanche terrain. Slopes may be crossed multiple times before an avalanche is released.
