Avalanche Summary

The avalanche danger remains elevated above treeline. You could trigger an avalanche today on steep slopes above treeline where winds have drifted snow onto north, northeast and easterly slopes. You may encounter wind-drifted snow below ridgelines and near gullies but be aware that new snowfall may obscure the common visual clues. If you feel firm or hollow snow that cracks or collapses, you should move to lower-angle or wind-sheltered slopes.
