Avalanche Summary

Above normal temperatures and sunshine will result in wet avalanches on Wednesday. The most dangerous slopes are below treeline slopes, where temperatures are not forecast to drop below freezing on Tuesday night. Avoid steep slopes if you observe signs of wet snow, such as rollerballing and pinwheeling in the surface snow. A more ominous sign is the sound of collapsing and a snowpack that you sink into past your ankles. Wet avalanches can be large in these areas.
