Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Today looks to be the warmest day this spring. As a result, the avalanche danger will increase today with wet loose and wet slab avalanches expected to be easily triggered by backcountry users as well as possibly release naturally on steep slopes particularly in rocky areas and areas of shallow snowpack. As the warming occurs and crusts weaken these avalanches could pull out deeper layers of snow all the way to the ground. Terrain traps/steep gullies should be avoided today.
