Avalanche Summary

A few recent large avalanches serve as a good reminder that you can still trigger a large slide, despite few signs of instability. Two to three-foot-thick slabs rest above buried weak layers on many slopes. Northerly and easterly-facing slopes are capable of producing the largest avalanches. Slopes less than 35 degrees offer safer route options.
