Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. If you were to trigger a small avalanche, it would be where you find stiff slabs of snow on steep, rocky slopes at upper elevations. Slopes that face north to east in the alpine remain the most suspect. Wind-pressed stiff surfaces appear smooth, so look for the rippled texture to avoid pockets of firmer snow.
