Avalanche Summary

As soon as the sun hits a slope, it is likely to shed the storm snow from the last couple of days. This snow will peel off the crust in sheets. As the day warms, shady north slopes may also shed.

Avoid rounded pillows of firm snow on high-elevation slopes. These wind-blown pillows are likely found near ridgelines and in gullies.
