The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases above approximately 2000 m. The wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence in all aspects.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is dry. This applies in particular below approximately 2000 m. In addition wind slabs formed adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects and generally in the high Alpine regions.
