New snow represents the main danger.

Down to 800 m and below snow will fall over a wide area. In particular in the regions with a lot of snow more medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large dry avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and wind. The fresh wind slabs can be released, even by small loads in isolated cases.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area 30 to 50 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since Friday. In isolated cases new snow is lying on a hard crust. In all regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.
