Avalanche Activity

Down to 1000 m snow has fallen over a wide area.

Over a wide area some new snow to above approximately 1000 m. Small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized dry avalanches are possible as a consequence of the snowfall. In all regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Snowpack Structure

Some snow has fallen since yesterday. Over a wide area thus far only a little snow is lying. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the icy crust. These avalanche prone locations are covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. Backcountry touring calls for caution and restraint.
