Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw and slowly consolidate becoming well bonded and stable. Any remaining cornices will be prone to collapse. Cover will become more broken with greatest amounts found in North to East facing corries and on higher plateau areas. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will remain above the summits for this period. Other than light rain overnight it will be dry. Overnight strong winds, easing around dawn, moderate in strength from the Westerly quadrants during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A cloudy but dry day. Mild, with a temperature of +4 degrees celsius recorded at 920 metres. Winds were very strong North-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: There has been a gradual thaw with snow loss at all levels. Mostly the remaining snow is very firm but localised areas of moderately bonded soft wet snow are to be found in wind sheltered corrie rims and in gully exits on North through East to South aspects above 900 metres. Any remaining cornices are prone to collapse. Cover is becoming very broken at lower levels with many ridges snow free. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
