As a consequence of warming small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist and wet avalanches are possible above approximately 1800 m. Mostly small gliding avalanches are possible on very steep grassy slopes. The old wind slabs can be released by large loads in particular. This applies in particular in extremely steep terrain in particular above approximately 2000 m at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack, when entering gullies and bowls for example.

As a consequence of falling temperatures the snowpack consolidated during the last three days. Old wind slabs have bonded well with the old snowpack in all aspects. Snow profiles and stability tests have confirmed the favourable bonding of the snowpack on steep slopes. Individual weak layers exist deeper in the snowpack on steep shady slopes. Below approximately 1400 m only a little snow is lying.

As a consequence of high temperatures, partly cloudy skies and the southwesterly wind, the snowpack can not consolidate. The weather conditions will foster a rise in the avalanche danger in particular on steep, rather lightly snow-covered slopes.
