In some localities light precipitation: In the course of the day danger level 2 (moderate) will be reached.
In some localities up to 10 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall on Sunday above approximately 2000 m. As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from westerly directions, mostly small wind slabs will form in the course of the day on north, east and southeast facing slopes. They are to be found in particular in steep terrain at elevated altitudes. These are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling.
Less snow than usual is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. In the last few days the weather was mild. The rain gave rise to thorough wetting of the old snowpack over a wide area below approximately 2500 m.
The avalanche danger will persist.
