Avalanche Activity

The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften earlier than the day before.

The snowpack will be well bonded in all aspects. Some fresh snow as well as local small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases. This applies in particular along the border with France. The danger of moist and wet avalanches will already exist in the early morning.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area less snow than usual is lying. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas as well as in high Alpine regions snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind.
