Mostly stable snow exists. Isolated pockets of slab to eighteen inches in depth could be triggered by backcountry users in steep avalanche terrain at the upper elevations. The specific location of these isolated weaknesses is unpredictable. Below 7500' slopes lack adequate snow coverage for avalanches.

A winter storm is projected to bring snowfall to the area on Friday. Snow is expected to start to fall later in the afternoon and to continue into Saturday. Light West winds overnight are expected to increase to 25-30mph and become Southwesterly in advance of the snowfall. Mountain temperatures are expected to rise into the mid twenties on Friday. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW. Mostly stable snow exists, however some potential remains for humans to trigger isolated pockets of wind slab up to 18 inches in depth on steep snow covered slopes.
