The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW at all elevations. At Upper elevations an isolated pocket of wind slab from Friday night's snow and wind could be released in steep areas under cliff bands below ridge crests where drifting and sloughing concentrated accumulations. Below 9,000 feet the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely.

High pressure has moved inland over the Pacific Northwest and Western Great Basin. Moisture working through the system holds a remote chance of light snow on the higher peaks Tuesday. Temperatures will be warmer with 10,000 foot highs in the upper thirties. Winds along the rige tops will be thirty miles per hour from the West.The General Avalanche Hazard in the TETONS will be LOW at all elevations Tuesday morning with a possible increase to MODERATE in the afternoon due to the unseasonably warm forecasted temperaturres and the chance for wet, loose slides on steep Southerly exposures. The General Avalanche Hazard will remain MODERATE in the Continental Divide/Togwotee Pass and Southwest Trails/Greys River areas for the same reasons mentioned above and due to the possibility of triggering full snowpack hard slabs in steep areas. These slabs can slide even in areas that have seen considerable previous traffic and the warm temperature will weaken them more.
