Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche where you find continuous snow cover on northerly and east-facing slopes above treeline. Be suspect of terrain features that hold dense, previously wind-drifted snow more than about a foot deep. Most avalanches you might trigger will be small but could still take you for a nasty ride in the current thin snow cover conditions.
