Highlights

Through the week, continued light snowfall and Southwest to Northwest winds have formed soft slabs in steep avalanche terrain near ridge crests and in areas prone to wind loading. Skiers or riders could trigger pockets of these slabs, especially where they are underlain by hard crusts, with depths to two feet at high elevations and to one foot at mid elevations. Avalanches at low elevations are unlikely today.
