You can trigger an avalanche on northeast through east to south-facing slopes at upper elevations. These avalanches may not give any warning signs before the slope shatters around you. The most dangerous slopes are where strong westerly winds drift snow onto a buried crust two to four feet deep. Stick to slopes less than about 30 degrees for safer travel options.
