These observations are indicative of the behavior of persistent weak layers that are in the initial stages of being loaded. Be aware of these shallow instabilities in isolated terrain features.

Overnight lows in the mountains will be in mid-teens before rising into the mid to upper 20s during the day. Westerly to southwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 15 to 25 miles per hour.The early season snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. Normal caution is advised. In isolated areas, a slight possibility exists for backcountry travelers to trigger small, shallow surface slabs.
