Avalanche Summary

Strong westerly winds and fresh snow formed potentially dangerous slabs at higher elevations. Snow totals will vary across the range, so be cautious if you find any wind-drifted slope coated with more than eight inches of new snow. Northeast to east to southeast aspects will be the most likely places to find this new problem and trigger a small slide. Though less likely, this new load could reawaken deeper weak layers, creating even larger avalanches. Avoiding wind-loaded areas will help keep you safe.
