Avalanche Summary

New snow and strong winds will build small slabs on leeward slopes. Use extra caution if you find close to a foot of new or drifted snow. Though harder to trigger, avalanches that break deeper in the snowpack are still a concern. Common trigger points around rocky areas, the margins of a slope, or steep rollovers are places you should try to avoid. You can trigger the entire slope from one of these shallow spots or from a distance away. To help further reduce your risk, steer clear of wind-drifted slopes and stick to lower-angle terrain.
