Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for the central and southwestern San Juan Mountains through Tuesday evening. Storm snows and strong winds have created very dangerous avalanche conditions. You can very easily trigger large and dangerous avalanches. Some avalanches will release spontaneously and may run long distances. Travel in and under backcountry avalanche terrain is not recommended.
