Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is LOW in the early morning hours and will increase to MODERATE as temperatures warm and snow surfaces soften. The potential for slab avalanches to be triggered and wet slides to occur will increase as the day warms. Skiers, snowboarders or snowmobilers who venture into steep snow covered terrain could initiate slabs or wet slides that have the potential to step down to weak layers of faceted snow at tbe base of the snowpack.
