At the upper elevations, isolated areas of unstable snow persist on very steep, northerly aspects which lie upon old, October snow. In these areas, backcountry travelers still have some potential of triggering dense slabs up to two feet in depth. A shallow snowpack at the mid elevations quickly transitions to mostly bare ground in the valley, and avalanches are unlikely.

Some flurries could be seen Sunday night as the upper-level trough exits the region ahead of a transitory ridge of high pressure that builds in on Monday. Temperatures in the mountains are expected to dip into the teens before rising into the low 20s tomorrow. The valley should also experience overnight lows in the teens, and daytime highs near 30.The general avalanche hazard is expected to remain LOW. Backcountry travelers should avoid steep, upper-elevation, northerly aspects where isolated pockets of dense slab up to two feet in depth lie upon old, October snow.
