Highlights

Areas of unstable snow exist at the upper elevations where strong southwesterly winds continue to build slabs along ridgecrests and cross-loaded slopes. Backcountry travelers could trigger these slabs to depths of two feet in steep, wind-loaded starting zones. These slabs decrease in depth, and are more difficult to trigger at the mid elevations. Below 7,500 feet slopes lack sufficient snow depths for avalanches.
