Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations six inches of new snow (25 inches total for past 3 days)with strong Southwest winds have created slabs to two feet in depth on lee slopes. Yesterday firm slabs were difficult to trigger but may be more sensitive today with another half inch of moisture. Slides may be triggered by the second or third person on a slope. At the low elevations isolated pockets of soft slab could be triggered on very steep slopes and terrain traps should be avoided.
